Donations in 2012

Ellie Fund: The Chrystine M. Sullivan Foundation awarded the Ellie Fund $50,000 in 2012. With these funds the Ellie Fund was able to provide immediate, critical support services. They were able to provide transportation to medical appointments, childcare, housekeeping, groceries and nutritious meals free of charge to local women and families fighting breast cancer. For more information about the Ellie Fund, please visit http://elliefund.org/ At Christmas time the Foundation donated and delivered Christmas presents to six Ellie Fund patients and their families (17 children).

Cancer Support Community South Shore: The Chrystine M. Sullivan Foundation also awarded the Cancer Support Community South Shore MA $37,500 in 2012. With this support they were able to provide services to South Shore residents affected by cancer which included emotional support groups, education and assistive services. A few of the programs offered are support groups for cancer patients, caregivers and men with cancer, breast cancer networking group, educational workshops, stress management and healthy lifestyle programs, creative art workshops, Yoga, Tai Chi and a new Look Good Feel Better program. At Christmas time the Foundation also donated gifts to help a family whose mother, who is affected by breast care, was told this would be her last Christmas. Ellie Fund: The Chrystine M. Sullivan Foundation awarded the Ellie Fund $20,000 in 2011. Through this donation the Ellie Fund was able to provide immediate, critical support services free of charge to 11 breast cancer patients and 29 family members on the South Shore. It helped to provide transportation to medical appointments, childcare, housekeeping and meals completely free of charge for two months. The Foundation also donated Christmas gifts to 11 children and their moms who are battling breast cancer and who needed special support during the holiday season. With these funds the Ellie Fund was able to provide immediate, critical support services. They were able to provide transportation to medical appointments, childcare, housekeeping, groceries and nutritious meals free of charge to local women and families fighting breast cancer. Wellness Community: The Chrystine M. Sullivan Memorial Foundation donated $30,000 to the Wellness Community South Shore MA to help support their programs. The Wellness Community aims to support cancer patients through a combination of physical and educational programs. The physical programs include: yoga, acupuncture, and massage. The educational programs include; counseling for those suffering this terrible disease and their family, how to best handle various aspects of the disease and the treatments. The Foundation also supported the Wellness Community's "Festival of Wreaths" event which raised funds to support their programs.

Signature HealthCare\BrocktonHospital: The Chrystine Sullivan Foundation completed a matching grant of $l50,000 to purchase Digital Mammography equipment. For more information about the Signature HealthCare, please visit Signature Health Web Site.

Wellness Community: The Foundation provided support this year to the Wellness Community Massachusetts South Shore by donating a total of $67,000 which will help to provide the emotional support, programs / education and hope for people fighting this terrible disease.
